Nigeria – Calabar

ArcelorMittal Calabar, Tubular Products will construct a 300,000 ton per annum Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) pipe mill in Nigeria. This mill will service the regional oil and gas industry. The mill will be located within the Calabar Free Trade Zone in Cross River State in Nigeria.

Construction is due to begin in the second half of 2008, with the mill starting production in 2010. The mill will produce large diameter welded pipes in the size range of 20 inch to 56 inch of up to X80 steel grade and wall thicknesses of between 6.4mm and 38.0mm, in line with the oil and gas industry’s technical specifications.
